This incredibly talented natural footer from the Gold Coast lifted the bar in 2006 with host of performances that saw him finish in the business end of numerous tour events. Known to perform when the swell has punch and the waves are hollow Morrison was unlucky not go further in events at Mundaka and Mexico. Coming out of the same Coolangatta gates as good buddies Mick Fanning and Joel Parkinson, the ever quiet and media shy Morrison has always been one to let his surfing speak for him. Although missing from the winner’s podium since his victory at the Quiksilver Pro, Snapper Rocks in 2002, Morrison possesses amazing tube riding nose and has long been considered by many to have the “best cutback in the business”. A standout from a region that produces world class surfers by the truckload, Morrison is always a favorite among spectators.
